W7KCN, John K Munroe, from Bellingham, USA, has become a Silent Key.
He was 91.
He served in the US Merchant Marines, Naval Reserve and the US Navy.
John worked from KWWB, Armed Forces Radio Service, KPUG and KGMI.
He was also a principle for two elementary schools and a teacher at WWU.
John and his wife founded Munroe Wool Company. John was also musically inclined playing the bagpipes, wrote "50 vocal jazz arrangements" and enjoyed singing. In addition to all that he was an active member and Deacon for almost half his life.
He was first licensed as W7KCN in 1942.
He had 339/349 countries confirmed in the ARRL DXCC Mixed award.
