Harold Cole Jr., 88, of Essex St., Corry, Pa., died Friday, May 31, 2019, at Corry Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 6, 1931 in Succasunna, N.J., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Harold Cole.
Harold was raised and educated in the Succasunna, N.J. area. As a young man he served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he returned to New Jersey and lived there until moving to Florida. Harold has resided in Corry since 1992. He worked in building maintenance and cleaning for two local banks.
He was a member of the Corry Amateur Ham Radio Club.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife Betty M. Fulmer Cole on March 8, 2012. The couple were married on August 19, 1950 in Succasunna, N.J.; also by two brothers, Butch and William Cole.
Harold is survived by a daughter, Kathy D. Dubois of Sulphur, La.; two sons Gary A. Cole of Corry, Pa., and Nelson H. Cole and his wife Holly of Port St. Lucie, Fl.; and three sisters, Esther Vreeland of Mesa, Az., Shirley McWilliams of Lakewood, N.J., and Sandra Cole of Lake Hopatcong, N.Y.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a great great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or services held at this time
Burial will be held privately by the family.
