    Stan White, ZL2ST from Marewa, Napier, New Zealand, passed away.
    Stan was 80.
    Information from his qrz page:
    Licensed as ZL2AHC in January 1959. Changed to ZL2ST in 1997. Active Dxer on honour roll and active contester with ZM4T group - see www.zm4t.com. Born June 1940 at Napier. Resided in Napier until 1962, Wellington 1962-65, Palmerston North 1965-66, Wellington 1966-75, Napier 1975-1994, Wellington 1994-2000, Napier 2000 to present.

    Operated from Chatham Islands three times - in 2002 with ZL7C group, in 1997 with ZL7AA / ZM7A group and 1993 with ZL7AA group. With ZM2K - the Kiwi Contest Group at Martinborough near Wellington in the 1990s and operated at ZL2T in CQWW SSB 1993 at Napier. With ZM2M and ZM4T East Coast Contesters at Jim & Phip's farm at Tangoio 25 km north of Napier since 2005.

    Active on VHF in 1970s from Lower Hutt obtaining the first 2 metre Worked all Districts (ZL). Active in most NZART Field Days since 1957 plus other NZART contests with Napier Branch team ZL2G / ZL2GT / ZL2ABJ and other calls plus independant group ZL2GQ at Titahi Bay in 1960's and early 70's..

    NZART Contest Manager 2000 - 2005, NZART Field Day Manager 1988 - 2006, President of Napier and Hutt Valley NZART Branches for several years, Secretary Napier (late 1950's and 2004 - present)) and Hutt Valley Branches at various times from 1957 to present and on various NZART conference committees including committee President in 1982.

    Have always used wire antennae for hf bands. Had a triband beam up for three months in 2002 until local Council ordered it's removal under District Plan height rules. The mast complied and now supports wires. It looks 'naked' !
