After a long illness DJ9KR, Ulrich "Uli" Bihlmayer, from Tuebingen, Germany, passed away on December 16th.
He was 77. Uli "was a tireless worker and promoter for defending our bands" as the "head of the DARC Bandwacht for more than 25 years (1986 - 2012) and vice-coordinator of the IARU Monitoring System for seven years", remembers DF5JL, Tom. Uli was first licensed in 1964 and had claimed working 356 countries on the DXCC list.
