GB0GKB will be operational between 1st July 2018 and 28th July 2018 from the QTH of G4HLN in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, England.
The station commemorates 90 years of Portishead Radio, which commenced operations in July 1928 having moved transmitter sites from Devizes to Portishead.
There will be 3 commemorative stations operational during the above period:
GB0GKA - QTH Nr. Tiverton, Devon. Op Tony/G3ZRJ
GB0GKB - QTH Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset. Op Larry/G4HLN
GB0GKC - QTH Weston-super-Mare. Op Pete/G3TJE
All operators are ex-GKA Radio Officers.
QSL policy not established at the time of writing.
Operations will mostly be on HF cw, although some SSB may take place. No set hours have been agreed, stations will be operational as and when time permits.
