The First World War ended at 1100 on 11th November 1918. This callsign celebrates the ending of 4 years of conflict.
World War One was one of the deadliest conflicts in history in which over 16 million people died. The war killed almost 7 million civilians and 10 million military personnel. Often forgotten, 16 million animals including horses, mules, donkeys, dogs, cats, carrier pidgeons and camels were involved in the war and some 9 million lost their lives in the service of their countries
