Information from his qrz page:
What funny looking creatures cows are. Bulbous bodies with matchstick thin legs. Everyone likes cows right? Ever been downwind of 500 of them on a hot summer day? OK, so maybe not everyone likes cows.
This will be the 3rd running of the KØW Dairy Cow Special Event Station. Herd all 'round the world from Texas (longhorn) to the Channel islands of Jersey & Guernsey. Brown Swiss bovines dutifully represent Switzerland. Leave it to those eccentric British for assigning dairy cows their own amateur radio prefixes of GJ & GU. Let's not forget the cows down under in Moo Zealand.
This years KØW QSL card is guaranteed to blow your socks hoofs off. Most paper QSL cards are uncreative rejects not even glue factories would accept. Not this years 2019 QSL card. It's equally happy being displayed next to your North Korea QSL card or that pack of Laughing Cow cheese. Try presenting this KØW QSL card to a McDonalds cashier for a free bag of hamburgers. You might even find old Bessie herself in one of those patties.
A few years ago I used a barbed wire dipole at 3 feet high as the KØW Special Event antenna. A cow tried jumping over it and it was udder destruction.
Take a look at the word COW. Do you see the letters SSB in it? Nope. See the letters FT8 in it? Nope. Notice how CW is only one letter short of the word COW? Amazing huh? Because of this CW is the only mode used for all KØW Special Events.
