Radio Amateurs members of Mysliborski Klub Lacznosci PZK, SP1PMY will be active with special call SN86LOT from Mysliborz, Poland, commemorating 86nd anniversary of the flight over Atlantic Ocean by two Lithuanian pilots Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, who flew from New York in little airplane “Lituanica” to Kaunas on 15th of July 1933.
Their flight ended with catastrophy in forest near the village of Pszczelnik (ca. 6 km from Myślibórz, West Pomeranian Voivodeship). There is a monument dedicated to those two brave airmen at the place where airplane fell, at this monument every year take place celebrations with highest Polish and Lithuanian representatives.
They will operate on HF Bands.
