The Feast of the Throne is a national celebration in Morocco, which is celebrated every year on July 30, with several other official and popular ceremonies during
year.
This day is considered a holiday. The Moroccan people celebrate the birthday of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI Ben al-Hassan and his official allegiance, which
was officially declared king on July 30, 1999. This holiday is reminiscent of the uniting the people to his king. It is in memory of this commemoration that many royal celebrations and activities, which the king himself practices, take place, the most broadcast live on television.
The king takes advantage of this ceremony broadcast live on television for communicate the projects it is considering for Morocco with the aim of developing the
country.
Many fireworks, a ceremony of allegiance to celebrate the holidays, a swearing-in ceremony for the new winning officers of the major military schools, the royal pardon, as well as the presidency of the various receptions are organized for the celebration of this feast of the throne.
