The Romanian Cultural Institute has launched a program dedicated to the celebration of the 145 years from the birth of sculptor Constantin Brâncuşi. Events for the celebration of Brancusi will take place throughout the year and will be organized in partnership with the Centre for Research, Documentation and Promotion "Constantin Brancusi", from the City Hall Târgu Jiu.
The program celebrates the creation of the genius of artist born on 19 February 1876 in Hobița, Romania. Brâncuşi left universal culture 250 works created in his 50-year career in famous museums and in Târgu Jiu. Colloquiums "Brâncuși" will start in Târgu Jiu on February 19, and will be complemented by a number of other cultural events dedicated to the artist's work in the municipality
Sports Club Pandurii Târgu Jiu, Ham Radio Department wants to make a modest contribution to the event. During the period 03.02-03.03.2021 our club, YO7KFX, will be active in the HF bands with special callsign YP145B. All QSOs will be confirmed with a specially printed QSL for this event.
On this occasion, all those who so wish may obtain the award "Constantin Brâncuşi-145 years from birth" (Full color 8.5x11).
The requirement is simple: At least three QSOs with the special call YP145B made on different days or in different traffic modes or on different radio bands are required. Requests must be sent to the award manager, YO7CKQ, via e-mail to yo7kfx@gmail.com. As a last courtesy act, the QSL cards are expected via QSL Bureau.
For direct mail requests a modest sum of RON 10.00 ( YO station ) or Euro 5 ( EU/DX ) is expected to be sent to the award manager YO7CKQ in order to cover the mailing costs.
