    K6K - King Kamehanema - Hawaii

    Radio Amateurs from Hawaiian Islands will be active with special call K6K from Hawaii, 10 - 13 June 2021, to celebrate King Kamehameha the Great and Hawai’i’s Rich History.
    They will operate on HF Bands.
    QSL via LOTW only.

    Special-event station K6K will be on the air to celebrate King Kamehameha Day and Hawaii’s rich history.

    Operating Information: Stations should listen for K6K calling “CQ K6K”.
    Friday, 11 June 2021, 1600 UTC to 12 June 2021, 0800 UTC.

    80 through 10 meters depending on propagation. Major activity on 20 and 40 meters.
    The main modes will be CW, SSB, FT-8, and Winlink. Other Modes maybe be added.

    Successful radio contacts are eligible to receive an especially inscribed certificate bearing the full-color rendition of King Kamehameha I.

    CERTIFICATES: Are self-printed (by you) for contacts with our Special Event Station. If you contact our Special Event Station, look up your call sign on the following link and print your own certificate: https://sites.google.com/view/k6khawaii. Please allow 30 days for all logs to be processed.
    QSLS: eQSLs are available via LOTW. NO Paper QSLs.

    The Kamehameha Day Holiday was proclaimed by King Kamehameha I’s grandson, Lot Kapuaiwa – King Kamehameha V, in 1871, followed by an inaugural celebration of events on June 11, 1872. Years later, in 1939, the King Kamehameha Day Commission was formed under the Hawai‘i Territorial Legislature.
