The Mediterranean Games are a multi-sport competition where athletes from all countries of the Mediterranean basin meet. Organized every 4 years, the MG represent the most important multi-sport event in the Mediterranean, and are positioned directly after the Olympic Games on an international scale.
In the beginning, there were only 11 participating countries,Today, 26 countries participate in the Mediterranean Games.
This competition has continued to evolve, whether in the number of participating countries or the disciplines to arrive at this 2022 edition which will count the participation of 26 nations in 24 disciplines out of 204 events and more than 4,500 athletes. are expected for this event which will take place from June 25 to July 5 in Oran.
