Zagreb Radio Fest 2022 is planned to take place on 02. and 03. September at the House of Technology in Jarun lake, Zagreb.
Zagreb Radio Fest (ZRF) is a traditional manifestation that gathers every year a large number of radio amateurs and other enthusiasts of electrical engineering, electronics or IT, and attracts all those engaged in similar activities. This trade fair was organized for the first time in Zagreb by a small group of enthusiasts in 1999, and laid the foundation for the event, which grows year by year. Zagreb Radio Fest is an event included in the events of special interest for the City of Zagreb, and the main goal of this gathering is to promote technical culture, educate young people, exchange professional experiences, encourage a competitive spirit, and at the same time provide an opportunity for individuals to acquire and complete telecommunications equipment at promotional fair prices. Compared to the most famous European amateur radio fairs such as Friedrichshafen in Germany, Pordenone in Italy, Laa in Austria, Schoprun in Hungary or Holice in the Czech Republic, Zagreb Radio Fest, with its content and equipment, is by no means behind them, and the mere presence of representatives of these of countries says that Zagreb Radio Fest is recognized even outside the borders of Croatia. Today there are more than ten million radio amateurs in the world, most of whom are residents of the United States of America and Japan, and from this group, about three million radio amateurs have their own amateur radio license, and that group from Croatia is completed by about six thousand domestic radio amateurs. The organizer of the Zagreb Radio Fest is the Zagreb Amateur Radio Association, and the organization is supported by the City of Zagreb, the City Office for Culture, Education and Sports, and other associations of technical culture. Zagreb Radio Fest is always complemented by a well-organized fair of used equipment. With all these details, Zagreb Radio Fest forms the whole of a unique fair of its kind in this part of Europe, and its contents offer something for everyone.
