We are celebrating another event this winter, "SANTA ON AIR" (AU2SOA), starting 15th December to 31st December 2022. This event under POTA India and Oscar India will be celebrating CHRISTMAS from multi cities, Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi & Chennai on multi amateur radio platforms including HF, Digital, SSTV & Echolink.
List of planned Amateur Radio based activities for AU2SOA are as below, Hope to see your active participation,
a) FT8 based Digital HF Radio Communication - POTA India will be active over FT8 from 15th December 2022. Every succesffull digital QSO will be awarded with an eQSL card, only one QSO per call sign will be considered for eQSL. Will be active mostly over 20 / 15 / 10 Meter.
b) Beaches On The Air Activity - BOTA will be active for AU2SOA on 18th December to 19th December 2022, over SSB and Digital, catch us on AIR, every successful SSB QSO will be given the Beach activation key, you have to visit the site beachesontheair.com/, and add your QSO as Chaser under Chaser Section on left on the web site. Every successful Chaser will get a QSL card. Bands will be used are 40 / 20 / 15 / 10 Meter depending on the propagation. Hunting over radio is fun, so we are not publishing the frequencies right now, but we will be active during 18 to 19 December 2022 entire days, hunt us.
c) SSB based HF Radio Communication - POTA India will be active over SSB from 20th December 2022 to 31st December 2022. Every successful SSB QSO will be awarded with a eQSL card, only one QSO per call sign will be considered.
d) POTA Activation - POTA India will be activating a PARK on 25th December 2022. Every Amateur Radio Operator can join and hunt the POTA India team over different HF Bands and every successful QSO will be awarded with eQSL cards. Do register yourself at Parksontheair.com.
e) SSTV broadcast over HF Radio - POTA India will be active over SSTV from 18th December 2022 to 31st December 2022, all week ends (Saturdays & Sundays). Every Amateur Radio Operator can capture the SSTV broadcast and the picture sent will act as an QSL card, Join in on the fun downloading Photos over SSTV. Transmission time and plan will be shared soon. SSTV will be active on 40 / 20 / 15 / 10 Meters, over standard SSTV Frequencies. SSTV transmission can be decoded by RXSSTV or MMSSTV (Computer Program) and ROBOT36 on Andriod phone.
f) Talk Show and Webinar - This initiative is supported by Open Source Open Source Classes for Amateur Radio (OSCAR), OSCAR is organizing a Webinar on Amateur Radio. Topic and Date / Time will be shared soon. This Special Event Station are managed by,
