Special callsign for the 100th anniversary of the first radio link in short wave telegraphy between France and the USA by F8AB Léon DELOY, French radio amateur, from Nice, and the American U1MO Fred SCHNELL in Hartford (Connecticut) on November 27, 1923. Léon DELOY, born on February 4, 1894, died in Monaco, where he resided, on January 21, 1969. He bequeathed his fortune to a charitable foundation in Monaco.
