    GB2ROR - BBC Radio - Rory Morrison

GB2ROR. Special event station in memory of BBC Radio 4 announcer Rory Morrison (1964 - 2013)

This activation by members of the London BBC Radio Group (G8BBC) coincides with the annual 'Bake-for-Rory' event organised by BBC announcer Susan Rae in aid of Rory's charity 'WMUK':

Please work our station if you hear us on 40m HF or 2m FM in the London area, and raise awareness of this rare form of cancer, and help raise money in the research to beat it, and in memory of our much-missed colleague.

Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia (WM) is medically defined as a malignant monoclonal gammopathy, considered to be a lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma as defined by the Revised European American Lymphoma Classification and World Health Organization. Its is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, but this term is now less used by specialists. Some doctors may not even mention the term WM at time of diagnosis which makes research by patients more difficult. If they do, patients usually have some difficulty spelling it!
