Hi
The Antigonish Amatuer Radio Club wish to announce the Henry Island Lighthouse DX Expedition.
Henry Island is 6.6 klm from the village of Port Hood, located on Cape Breton Island, in the province of Nova Scotia , Canada.
It will take place coinciding with (ILLW) Lighthouse Weeknd. We plan to operate only one of the 2 days weather permitting.
Plan A is Saturday Aug 17. Operating hours are planned for 15:00 - 20:00 UTC
Plan B is Sunday Aug 18 - same times.
We plan to operate under the club call sign VE1RTI
We do not plan to operate CW, FT8.
We do plan to operate VHF/UHF and HF SSB.
We are not very experienced on the HF bands if this turns into a hot DX day.
We will have approx 5 people operating 2 HF rigs, and VHF/UHF. We are working out the details on antennas.
We wanted to get the word out and really are not sure if this will be a good catch or not.
We may try the IOTA operating frequencies noted below;
The main frequency is 14.260MHz. Other ones on SSB are
28.560, 28.460, 24.950, 21.260, 18.128, 7.055 and 3.755MHz.

Paul Fraser,
