CW5O: First DXpedition of Radiogrupo Sur in 2014 On 31st January, 1st and 2nd. February, Radiogrupo Sur will be activation the special call sign CW5O, from Rincón del Bonete, specially from its air lighthouse, dam, museum, etc..
It will be on air in HF bands (WARC too), VHF and UHF, all modes.
This is the first activity for this year, in which our Club is celebrating its 30th. anniversary.

What is an "air" lighthouse? To qualify for ARLHS recognition (Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society) and awards, it must be Nautical light beacon, NOT aeronautical, and must appear on govt nautical charts. Pse advise your status.
