What's going on with the CQ WW Contest?

I came across some information on the Internet about the results of the CQ WW DX CW Contest 2024.
    Message from UR0MC:
"Guys, I’m not really sure what went down in the recent CQ WW DX CW 2024
It’s about team CQ9A—they got disqualified, but we don’t know why. The submitted results listed one set of operators (callsigns), but the final results showed completely different ones.
Feels like something shady happened during the judging process. Who was behind it, and what was the reason?
The most interesting part is that the callsigns that were supposed to participate in WRTC-2026 were replaced—specifically RA3AUU, EW6W, and EU1A.
Maybe someone knows what happened? I don't think I'm the only one who noticed this fraud in the results."

    CQ9A Team

    CQ9A Team K1AR

Surprised at the response to this from K1AR.

"Guys — calm down. The CQ9A operation unfortunately did not use an interlock resulting in multiple signals on the same band. We had no choice but to DQ the entry.
The operator list was changed at their request, however all original calls were supplied to WRTC2026."

That is, on the one hand K1AR changed the composition of the team by bringing other call signs of the team members not known to many radio amateurs, but at the same time, as they say, surrendered them to WRTC 2026.
I wonder what are the new rules in CQ WW that give such rights to the contest director?
Disqualification today means nothing as a person is simply disqualified retroactively and only in the past test without any consequences, and now it turns out and it can be disguised by another call sign?
Here I follow the activities of John, K1AR, and more and more often the question arises, and is this John, whom I knew in 70-80 years of the last century?
    It doesn't make sense.
    Has he been switched?

Some people think that such decisions do not pass without a trace, but this is not the case.
    For example, after this story
    https://dxnews.com/forum/forum/conte...g-cqww-contest
the most active in contests from Georgia 4L8A decided to stop participating in CQ WW contests and I understand him perfectly and consider his decision fair.
No one even apologized to him.

I have studied the question on this topic and other posts in Face Book and other resources and two directions emerge for me.
The first one, which I thought was the main one, is the incomprehensible decision of the director of CQ WW DX Contest, K1AR, to replace the call signs of CQ9A team members.
Absolutely inexplicable decision in my opinion violating the contest rule.
I read by the way the explanation of Valery, EW6W, and I'm sure this explanation was received by K1AR before the decision on disqualification, if in two words they did not look after the cable to the box, which did not provide blocking.
Such situations are known by the way and often realizing this the CQ WW committee puts participants in the check log.
This has happened many times already.
And recently the CQ WW Contest Committee has introduced various hidden rules for example, instead of disqualification 10 percent minus from the result.
What was the purpose of the CQ9A team members there are several versions.
Again John, K1AR changed call signs, but as he says all the originally declared call signs were sent to WRTC for disqualification!!!!.
In my opinion this is a violation of the Director's rules, so you can bring any other callsigns at all, can you open SWL callsigns for example?

        Now the second thing:
Looking at the participants of the controversy on FaceBook there are UR0MC, VE3DZ, US2YW and others.
Basically the emphasis is not on breaking the rules of CQ WW, but on not allowing Belarusians and Russians on WRTC.
Well first of all about RA3AUU, by the way he has a new callsign now.
Igor could take part in any WRTC he always has points in excess and I think it would decorate WRTC, but he in recent years on WRTC seems to be not particularly raring to go.
I can't say anything about the team of the Republic of Belarus
There are a lot of ambitions, but the plans are not known to me personally.
All this looks like some kind of political squabble.
Not UR0MC, VE3DZ, US2YW and others including me to decide whether to participate radio amateurs of Russia and Belarus in WRTC.
This decision is made by the organizing committee.
I consider incitement of all this political hatred shameful.
There are people who do not work with radio stations from Russia and Belarus is their decision and vice versa, and there are those who call for it, and themselves quietly in tests and not only conduct communications.

          And the third:
Maybe our Ukrainian friends are offended that there are no more representatives of Ukraine in CQ WW CC, but 2 representatives of Russia?
No dirt on Igor, UA9CDC :-)
Have our Ukrainian friends forgotten that thanks to the efforts of UA9BA, a member of the CQ WW Contest Committee in the past, a representative of Ukraine appeared in the Committee?
