ZS8Z by ZS1BCE, David, has been on his second tour on Marion Island for over a year now. He has been QRT since November, 2017 and is set to leave this May. David said he will not be able to get back on the air. There are too many problems, food rationing and doing "load shedding" on the last functioning generator to avoid risking its failure. The technical problems include their satellite system being down most of the time. He says, "Surviving now is our biggest challenge."
