OA5/K2RR Update

IOTA Chasers,
First off Rich is now safely back in Lima.
The landing on San Gallan was terrible. 3 foot waves overturned the dingy and left them in up to 5 feet of ice cold water. Most gear was soaked. Antennas and some other gear that was not in the Pelican containers was completely lost. Rich also lost his cell phone as did his helper from the salt water. Rich's special hearing aids were destroyed.
However, they did make it ashore and were serenaded by an unbelievable amount of sea lions until departing shortly thereafter.
Fortunately the Dingy had a rope to the main boat which was anchored off shore so they were able to be retrieved.
A long and VERY expensive trip. Hold your criticism. Just remember what some people go through to go and operate at out of the way places. Nuff sed.
