Today around 0700Z Bhutan’s HRH Prince Dasho Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, A5B (Alpha Five Bhutan), is expected to be QRV, reports JH1AJT, Zorro Miyazawa. HRH Prince Dasho Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck is the half-brother of the King of Bhutan. Three years ago Zorro trained His Royal Highness. The Prince “is always busy” and has been so this week for Bhutan’s 112th National Day. Over the last three days Zorro had multiple meetings with HRH Prince Dasho Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck. Zorro is very excited that HRH “will finally [be able to] participate” in the A5 activities. Zorro says, “Today, A5B will operate with the permission of HRH starting 20m SSB”. This is an historical moment for Bhutan and Amateur Radio.
