Turning back to the CQ WW DX CW 2009 Observations. The last months W3ZZ has posted few messages but the questions about the time the inspectors spent on the observed stations have been ignored.

I have received a number of questions about my experience with the CQ WW observer program last November. I have also seen some online commentary about the performance of the observers.

W3ZZ was not so lucky as G3SXW as he did not get into a banquet and accordingly to information from K3EST W3ZZ slept in the car. But he indemned the discomfort buying 7-night stay in the hotel on Barbados.

The idea of the Observer program arose long time ago in 2007 and it was not the CQ WW CC who proposed it. The idea author is a well known contester from the USA.

It was the hyper-activity of the CQ WW CC members that made me write this, not the recent discussion on the new rules or something like that.

Newly assigned CQ WW CC secretary W3ZZ started his duties with vocal declaration about the total success of Observer program during the CQ WW CW 2009.

When I recently heard that the CQ Contest Committee would not consider Single Operator One Radio (SO1R) as a separate category, I was very disappointed and asked myself why do I have to compete in the same category where a vast majority of contesters are using two radio's.

To me SO1R and SO2R are essentially the same - both are true single op - SO2R is just a single op station that is more complicated and sophisticated and harder to BUILD.

Hello contesters! I red many emails about this subject and I recognize that many contesters somehow missed a point. Let's be focused on basic issues, not going deeply in details.

I think the assisted category should not been introduced in first place. I think that it is good idea to merge the assisted and not-assisted back into one category.
