Ads for direct QSL:
Jean-Luc (John) Missler, F1ULQ, 7 Rue de la liberté, Obergailbach 57720, France.
Information from Nicolas:
This is a scientific mission at Ratmanoff, at east of Kerguelen Island, or at Port-Aux-Français.
QRV only if I have time, late 2015 early 2016
The working conditions are extremely harsh, hard weather, low free time, and very low energy source. And that this activity will be secondary to the scientific work.
To give a little mind of this activity, I will be isolated for weeks, we have daily local VHF marine no-ham radio-communications with the Port-Aux-Français base. FT4XU is mostly to give somes news at hamradio friends around the world, like ham-spirit :) Not for QSO contest.
I have great memories of some great long QSO with Australia, New Zealand and Crozet Island when I was in Antarctica FT5YI in 2008. I want to replicate this scheme.
Please no sked, it's impossible.
News will come later when I know more. Thank you for your understanding
