Finally I worked my first USA and that was Bob N7UA at around 04z. In the first 5 hours I had over 350 QSOs in the log from 13 zones and 56 countries! With a short vertical, 700W TX and no RX antennas! I was fevering! I couldnt wait till the next round.

There are only 2 more qualifying tests left in the selection race to the WRTC 2010. These are - RDXC 2009 and “On site championship of Russian Federation” (I am talking here about Russians). I would like to share some thoughts about selection Formula or “Selection criteria for participation in”World Radiosport Team Championship 2010” (“WRTC 2010”)

I wanted to publish this summary later, but finally decided to do it now. Although ARRL DX CW 2009 will take place in more than a month, many contesters are already concerned about "where to go?". I believe that this information will help them to make a final decision.

A few words about operators. Not all of the team members were “superoperators” and big contesters. However, the sum total of the team proves otherwise. Under normal circumstances, it takes only a few good operators to run a 24-hour operation.

A license has been granted to an Italian team and the period of their first activity will be from January 1 to January 11, 2009. The callsign released is E44M and it covers from 160 meters to 2 meters SSB, CW, RTTY and all digital modes with a maximum power of 1KW. They will have 3 stations active with beams, verticals and wire antennas.

Here we go, as promised, a brief review of the CQ WW DX 2008 results. Of course, not all of the results and categories are here but only a few.

This article has been written earlier, but I decided to publish it after the january 15 th, the CQWW DX CW 2008 log submission deadline. It has been discussed for a very long time that the logs should be submitted in a short term period after the contest, but nothing has been done yet.

One who devotes his spare time to the realization of a dxpedition hardly never reveals all the endeavours made from the moment the idea is bounced around till the radio is switched on and transmit.

This year of 2008 was very hard, I was very busy at my work. I failed to put into practice part of my plans of improving the station and installing new antennas. So there were no any serious projects for SSB contest. Entering SSB on LF bands from my QTH seems to be prospectless. I mostly wanted to work missing US states to complete 5BWAS.
