Finally I worked my first USA and that was Bob N7UA at around 04z. In the first 5 hours I had over 350 QSOs in the log from 13 zones and 56 countries! With a short vertical, 700W TX and no RX antennas! I was fevering! I couldnt wait till the next round.

CQ WW DX SSB 2008 as all the other contests was full of intrigues. I would like to take up the points which are the most interesting to me.

K5WAF, KG5U, N4AL, W5MJ, W5PF and WF5W will be active from Mozambique in CQ WW WPX SSB Contest as C91TX.

D4C team is not present in the winners list so the circulating rumors about disqualification of the D4C team have been confirmed: I4YSS, I4UFH, IZ4DPV, CT1ESV. This has also been confirmed by the D4C project team.

My first visit to São Vicente took place in November 2000. I spent a few weeks in Mindelo, the only town on the island, and made thousands of CW contacts using my call sign D44CF.

On May 6, 2015 history was made on contact across the Atlantic on VHF bands on the W-E path: The new D4C 2m beacon was received on Tropo for several hours in the Caribbean by PJ4VHF Dave on Bonaire on almost 4700km path.
